Turkey still has a young but aging population

Turkey still has a young population structure, but its share of elderly population is increasing, a recently released survey shows. Twenty-five percent of the population is under the age of 15, but the proportion of people age 65 and greater reached 10 percent for the first time, according to the survey conducted by Hacettepe University Institute of Population Studies.
