Experts warn: “Up to 70 percent of healthcare providers can drop out due to virus or mental problems”

Experts fear that, if no additional efforts are made, 40 to 70 percent of healthcare staff could drop out due to infection with the virus, but also due to mental health problems. That is why a project is being rolled out in which psychological help is provided for every care provider. “The daily applause is good, but that alone will not save the care providers,” says professor of occupational medicine Lode Godderis.
